Between Two Worlds
Between Two Worlds
Nokia, Finland – 2012
Story Behind the Artwork
It was the night before Christmas, but not the noisy kind, not the kind with bells and clutter. It was the silent kind, the kind where the forest holds its breath because it knows something you don’t. The trees were bowed down, heavy with frost, framing a portal that shouldn’t have been there, a light that felt like an invitation or a secret.
You look at it. The blue of the reality against the gold of the dream, and you feel that pull, that terrible, beautiful pull to step through the threshold, to leave the cold behind and find the warmth that has been hiding in the dark all along.
